“You can’t be frustrated all the time because the neighbor has a bigger house than you or a bigger TV or better garden..that’s not the way that I see life.“
The quote above was spoken by Rafael Nadal after he won his twelfth (twelfth!) French Open, and it is a great philosophy to apply to achieving your health and wellness goals. While you may not be aiming to be the GOAT of the clay courts, Rafa’s wisdom can help you be the best version of yourself. Too often we get distracted by fad diets, shady supplements and fake food. Instead, like Rafa, we need to work on the things we can control on a daily basis. We can exercise everyday, we can journal everyday, we can meditate everyday and we can pack a healthy lunch everyday.
In all areas of your life, it’s best to not compare yourself to anyone else. The goal is to do your best and remember that you are where you’re at and you should work to improve yourself from there. If you stay the course, who knows what you’ll be the GOAT of!
